Asian market
Asian markets opened on a mixed note on Thursday, after Wall Street closed lower amid escalating geopolitical tensions and comments by US President Donald Trump. In Japan, the benchmark Nikkei 225 opened 0.46% lower, while the broader Topix slipped 0.27%. South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.12% and the small-cap Kosdaq gained 0.1%. Australia’s ASX/S&P 200 rose 0.21%. At the same time, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index was off to a weak start, with the futures price at 26,348 while it had closed at 26,458.95 the previous day.
