On receiving the Mahila Samman award, Shalini Passi said that it is a blessing from God for her. She told that a few days ago she had gone to Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain and after seeing the statue of Ahilyabai Holkar there, she was thinking about his great works. That’s why he feels that this honor given in his name is very special.
He said that women should get respect and recognition not just one day but every day. Women have been suppressed in society for a long time, so change is necessary. She believes that women do not need anyone’s protection, rather they need to be empowered because they are the ones who give life and take care of the family.
Talking about work, Shalini said that last year she focused more on her book, which Penguin Random House had approached to publish. She considers herself more of an artist and visual person than a writer, so she wanted to work hard on the book. Now many of his new projects are coming and will be announced soon. He also told that Shah Rukh Khan is his good friend and some work is going to happen with him too.
Regarding fashion and creativity, he said that Art, Architecture, Painting and Handicrafts inspire him. Seeing these things makes them realize that human time is limited, whereas art survives for centuries, so every moment and every resource should be valued.
Apart from this he also remembered his experience in Bigg Boss. He said that being on the show is very difficult, but it was a good experience. She also appreciated the hard work of the other contestants and said that if something interesting happens in the future, she will definitely think about it.
