Shatak Review: The film shows the 100 year history of RSS in a brilliant way, the story is surprising

Did the Sangh have a hand in Gandhiji’s assassination? Did the Sangh play any role in independence? How was the relationship between Gandhiji and the Sangh chief? What work has the Sangh done during the war? This film tells you everything about the Sangh and tells it in a very amazing way. In 1 hour 52 minutes, this film shows so much content which would probably not be possible to show and you get to know such things about the Sangh which you might have never heard before. This film claims that all this is true and all this has happened in the 100 years of the Sangh.

Story- How did Doctor ji i.e. Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar form the Sangh in 1925, how was his childhood. The first half of the film can focus on what challenges they faced and simultaneously show what the Sangh was doing in the freedom struggle. After this, how Guruji i.e. MS Gowalikar took the Sangh forward. Why the Sangh did not enter politics, how the Sangh strengthened its organization so much, you see this in the second half. The entire journey of RSS has been covered in this film.

How is the movie- This film gives you so much information in 1 hour 52 minutes that you are surprised. From the first scene the film gets to the point, does not waste any time and tells the stories of the formation of the Sangh and its role in the country, year after year. Voice over has been used and due to this the story progresses faster. Some things come to light which we have not heard or heard very little and they surprise you. Nothing was pulled anywhere. No one was targeted anywhere. Balance has been maintained. Gandhi, Nehru and Indira are shown for some time but it is not that only negative things have been said about them. Here the focus has been on the story of the Sangh and if the claims shown in this film are true then it is really surprising. Even after independence, the role of Sangh was very important in one fight, which you might have rarely heard about. This film has been made in a hybrid manner, i.e. using both AI and humans, the makers of the film claim. Although you feel AI in very few scenes. VFX seems to be excessive and that too in the war scenes, yes it definitely seems that more information has been given than necessary but it was not easy to cover 100 years and the film was not made long either. Overall, this is a film that gives information and gives it in an amazing way.

Writing and Direction – Written by Anil Aggarwal, Utsav Daan, Rohit Gehlot, Nitin Sawant and directed by Ashish Mall and the writing is good. Especially the research is very excellent, the balance has been maintained, the direction is also good, Kridhan mediatech has made this film, Veer Kapoor has produced it, and he has taken a new initiative through hybrid films.

Music – The music of the film is quite good, the songs go according to the feel of the film, the music of Sunny Inder and Shantanu Shankar keeps you engaged. The songs in the voices of Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Suresh Wadekar sound good. Overall, if you want to know about Sangh then definitely watch it.

Rating – 3 Stars
