Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday (January 2) took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party over the incident of death of several people due to drinking contaminated water in Indore. He also made big allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kharge has Said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is silent on this matter as always. He also alleged that there is corruption and rigging in every scheme, including Jal Jeevan Mission.

He claimed that for 11 years the country has been listening only to long speeches, falsehoods, hollow claims and double-engine bragging. The entire machinery is involved in covering up the misgovernance of BJP governments.
‘Every scheme was rigged’ – Kharge
Kharge alleged that there is corruption and rigging in every scheme, including Jal Jeevan Mission. He said, ‘It is important to remind that under this mission, 10 percent of the Jal Jeevan Mission funds are given to clean contaminated water. Modi government and BJP have neither provided clean water nor clean air to the country. The general public is suffering.

What did the Mayor of Indore say on the matter of death?
Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava said on Friday that he has received information about the death of 10 people due to an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea caused by drinking contaminated water in Bhagirathpura area of the city. However, local citizens have claimed that 14 people, including a six-month-old baby, have died due to this outbreak. The Health Department has not confirmed this claim.
