The final match of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 is being played between Jharkhand and Haryana. In the title match held at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Haryana won the toss and decided to bowl. For Jharkhand, captain Ishan Kishan and Virat Singh started the innings, but Virat was out after scoring only 2 runs. Haryana won 2 out of 3 matches in the second group stage of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. Along with Haryana, Hyderabad and last year’s champion Mumbai also won the same number of matches and all had 8 points, but among all, Haryana had the better net run rate (+2.325). Haryana, which topped the points table, qualified for the finals.
In Group B, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh had 8 points each, both won 2 out of 3 matches. Jharkhand remained on top on the basis of net run rate (+0.221) and entered the finals. Now the final is being played between the two.
Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 Prize Money
Last year Mumbai had won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Then the news came that MCA has announced to give Rs 80 lakh to the champion team, equal to BCCI. Meaning, the team that wins the tournament gets prize money of Rs 80 lakh from BCCI.
Let us tell you that Haryana and Jharkhand have never won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy title, even today both the teams are playing the final of the tournament for the first time.
