Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah appealed to the countrymen to join the Somnath Swabhiman festival being celebrated in Somnath from 8 to 11 January. Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on social media platform He said that in the last thousand years, there were many attacks on this temple, but it stood up every time. It is a symbol of our civilizational immortality and our strong will to never give up. The names and traces of those who tried to destroy it have been erased, but this temple stands today with even more grandeur.
Apart from being a Jyotirlinga, Somnath Mahadev Temple is also an eternal heritage of eternal culture and spiritual glory. He said that the historicity of Somnath temple shows that such attacks can harm us, but cannot wipe us out, because it is the basic tendency of Sanatan culture to rise with more grandeur and divinity every time.
