Appeal to Indians to stay at home
The Indian High Commission has issued an advisory for Indian citizens in Bangladesh and appealed to the people to stay at home. The High Commission has appealed to Indians to avoid local travel and minimize movement outside their place of residence. In case of any sudden need, they have been advised to contact the High Commission or Assistant High Commission in the country. Indian High Commission has also issued emergency numbers.
Sanatan minority targeted in Bangladesh
Former Bangladesh minister Mohibul Hasan Choudhary has said that this violence is being done deliberately, because elections are going to be held after 2 months. Mohibul said, ‘Sanatan minority is being attacked in the entire country. Bangladesh elections are being delayed and this incident should be investigated.
People with Jihadi mentality are working in Bangladesh, due to which media houses have also been attacked. This entire incident was the result of a pre-planned conspiracy in which the present government is also involved, because elections are about to be held in Bangladesh.
Hindu youth hanged from a pole and burnt for insulting religion
According to BBC Bangla report, a Hindu youth was beaten to death by a group of people in Bangladesh on the charge of insulting religion. The young man was stripped naked and hanged and then his body was tied to a pole and set on fire. Police said that this incident happened in Bhaluka on Thursday night. Has confirmed the incident.
Police have identified the deceased youth as Dipu Chandra Das. Authorities initially learned that he worked in a local garment factory and lived on rent in a room in the area. The duty officer of Bhaluka police station told BBC Bangla, ‘At around 9 pm on Thursday night, some agitated people caught him on the charge of insulting the Prophet and beat him up. Then they set his body on fire.
Officials said that the body of deceased Das has been recovered and sent to the mortuary of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
