Stock Market Today: There was a sharp decline in the Indian stock market on Friday. At the end of trading, BSE Sensex fell by 1097 points or about 1.37% and closed at 78,918.90. Nifty 50 also closed at 24,450.45 with a weakness of 315.45 points or 1.27%. At the beginning of the day, pressure was visible on the market and the Sensex had slipped by about 500 points, while the Nifty was seen trading around 24,600.
