Suspension of 8 opposition MPs lifted in Lok Sabha, action was taken for throwing paper at the Speaker

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla announced a big decision in the House on Tuesday. The suspension of 8 opposition MPs who were suspended during the budget session has been ended with immediate effect. These MPs were suspended for the entire session in February on charges of ruckus and indisciplined behavior in the House. On revoking the suspension of MPs, Congress MP K Suresh said, ‘The Speaker has given some instructions and the Parliamentary Affairs Minister also mentioned the decorum and discipline of the House. Now it has been decided that the suspension of the suspended members will be withdrawn today itself.

Lok Sabha Speaker canceled the suspension with conditions

The Speaker said that it was agreed in the meeting of all the parties on Monday that all the MPs will cooperate together to maintain the glorious tradition of the House. He especially requested that AI generated photos, derogatory placards, fake images or slogans should not be raised in the Parliament premises. The Speaker had issued a bulletin yesterday itself, in which these instructions were given.

How did the whole matter happen?

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju proposed in the House that the suspension of these MPs be withdrawn. The proposal was discussed, in which Supriya Sule from the opposition side said that in yesterday’s meeting there was discussion for 1 hour and everyone got a chance to speak. He said, ‘We have not come here to abuse, we have come here to serve the country. You give us justice, we are ready to work with you. He stressed on respecting Lakshman Rekha and running the House smoothly.

Dharmendra Yadav supported the proposal of K Suresh and took the name of Nishikant Dubey and said that first you have to improve. After this Nishikant Dubey stood up and said that he never violated decorum. He said, ‘Apologize or prove.’ There was a slight commotion here. Union Minister Lalan Singh said that clapping is done with both hands. He told K Suresh that the decision taken in yesterday’s meeting should be stated in full and not half-heartedly.

Kiren Rijiju said that if the Speaker takes the initiative and the opposition is ready to talk, then the government is always ready. He insisted on drawing Lakshman Rekha and sought clarification from the opposition whether they would accept the Speaker’s ruling or not.

Speaker Om Birla mentioned the commitment of all the parties and appealed to maintain the sanctity of the House. The motion was voted on and the Speaker announced, ‘The motion was passed. The suspension is terminated with immediate effect.
