T20 World Cup 2026: Mohsin Naqvi angry over Pakistan’s shameful defeat against India, sent this message to the team

Indian cricket team defeated Pakistan badly in T20 World Cup 2026. There was not a single moment in the entire match when it seemed that Pakistan could win or was in a good position. Ishan Kishan thrashed the Pakistani bowlers, although Usman Tariq bowled well. Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi also came to Colombo to watch the match. Before the match, he met the players of his team and encouraged them, but during the match, when he came to know that Pakistan was losing, he ran away from the stadium midway.

PTI quoted an unidentified source in its report as saying that Mohsin Naqvi expressed his displeasure over the team’s performance in the 61-run defeat against India to team manager Naved Akram Cheema. The source said, “Mohsin Naqvi left the R Premadasa Stadium even before the end of the India vs Pakistan match. He left when it was clear that Pakistan was going to lose.”

He also told that Mohsin Naqvi, through a senior official of Pakistan Cricket Board, also told the manager that such poor performance of the Pakistan team in important matches is neither understandable nor acceptable. The source said that Pakistan team head coach Mike Hesson also talked to the players in the dressing room about their poor performance and said that they did not play to their full potential.

Will Babar and Afridi be on leave?

He said, “The management think tank has decided that enough is enough. Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi should be dropped from the playing 11 and replaced with Salman Mirza, Naseem Shah or Fakhar Zaman.” Pakistan’s next match is with Namibia on Wednesday, in which if Namibia wins then Pakistan will be out of the group stage.
