Bhaskar’s son, 15-year-old Sabarivasan, of Chinnivakkam village near Walajabad in Kanchipuram district, was studying in class nine in a government school in the same area. A month earlier, when he was playing with friends outside the house, he was bitten by a rabid dog in the same area, from which Sabarivasan survived with minor injuries.

Thinking that if she told her parents about the dog bite, she would be beaten, Sabri Vasan did not tell about the dog bite at home. A few days ago, Sabarivasan’s behavior had changed a bit. After this the boy’s father Bhaskar saved him and admitted him to Kanchipuram Government Hospital.

When his condition did not improve despite treatment at Chengalpattu Government Hospital, he was immediately admitted to Sabarimala Chennai Government Hospital for higher treatment.
After constant medical observation, Sabari Vasan died during treatment. There was a stir in the area after the sudden death of the boy due to dog bite. It is sad that the boy refused to tell his parents about the dog bite thinking that he would be scolded, and has now died during treatment.
