Tamil Nadu News: A case of sexual harassment of a minor girl has come to light in Thanjavur Medical College Hospital, Tamil Nadu. A 15-year-old girl, who was living with her brother who was undergoing treatment in the hospital, was harassed by the doctor on duty after finding her alone. The police have arrested the doctor under the POCSO Act and sent him to jail. It is also shocking that a case of sexual harassment of a nurse has already been registered against this doctor.
Tanjore Medical College Hospital is one of the oldest and largest hospitals in the state, where thousands of patients come for treatment every day. A youth from Tanjore district was also admitted here. His 15-year-old sister stayed in the hospital to stay with him and take care of him.

Gopinath (35), saw the girl sleeping alone in the ward. Gopinath hails from Attur Thalavasal area of ​​Salem district and is a medical student pursuing higher studies after MS.
Taking advantage of the girl being alone, the doctor sexually assaulted her. In shock, the girl immediately raised an alarm, after which the accused ran away from there. Inspector Pasupathi of Thanjavur All Women Police Station conducted the investigation.
Doctor harassed the girl
The investigation confirmed that the doctor had harassed the girl. On the complaint of the victim’s parents, the police registered a case under POCSO Act and other serious sections and arrested the doctor and sent him to Pudukkottai jail. It is also noteworthy that 5 months ago, a case was registered against Dr. Gopinath with the Medical College Hospital Police for sexually harassing a nurse. This incident has created a sensation in Thanjavur area.
