Tamil Nadu News: The incident of murder of a girl just five months after her marriage in Tirupattur district of Tamil Nadu created panic in the area. Police investigation has revealed that her husband’s illicit relationship is the main reason behind this murder.
Let us tell you that Murugan lives with his wife Revathi in an area called Madura Kandigai near Periyapalayam area of Tirupattur district. He had a 20 year old daughter Kaushalya. The girl had completed her graduation from a women’s college in Chennai and was studying to become a teacher in a college in Ponneri.
The marriage took place 5 months ago
Meanwhile, 5 months ago, Rajesh from Perumpedu area near Ponneri was married to Kausalya. Rajesh is a distant relative of the bride Kaushalya. Kaushalya, who was studying her B.Ed even after marriage, died mysteriously a few days ago. On the morning of the incident, Rajesh had gone to work as usual. In the afternoon the neighbors told Rajesh that Kaushalya was lying unconscious in the house. He immediately came home, broke the door and took Kaushalya, who was lying unconscious in the kitchen, to a nearby private hospital.
Father lodged a complaint at the police station
Kaushalya was lying unconscious in the kitchen and her head was injured. Doctors thought she might have fainted. When Kaushalya was examined, it was found that she had already died. Rajesh, who was shocked by this, informed his father-in-law Murugan.
But Murugan, who came to see his daughter in the hospital, saw injury marks on her face and immediately lodged a complaint at the police station raising suspicion over her death. On the basis of that complaint, the police under the leadership of Ponneri Police Inspector Tamilanban called Rajesh for questioning. Besides, forensic investigation was also done at his house.
Rajesh confessed to the crime during police interrogation
Apart from this, the injury on Kaushalya’s head was not caused by a fall. Not only this, when Rajesh was asked about the scratches on Kaushalya’s face and neck, Rajesh gave unrelated answers. Therefore, when interrogated by the police, Rajesh admitted that he had murdered his wife.
She told the police that the reason for this murder was her illicit relationship. That is, Rajesh was related to Deepika, who lived in Segundram Gandhinagar and came as a distant sister. Gradually both of them forgot their relationship and started falling in love. Due to brother-sister relationship he could not tell about love at home. In such a situation, Kaushalya got married to Rajesh.
Police arrested both Rajesh and Deepika
After his wife went to college, Rajesh developed a relationship with Deepika. In this way, both of them spent time alone two days before the murder. Then Deepika said that if your wife Kaushalya is alive then we cannot be happy. So kill him and Rajesh did the same.
On the day of the murder, Rajesh told the neighbors that he was going to work and within a few minutes entered the house without informing anyone and killed Kaushalya by pressing her nose and neck while she was sleeping on the bed. Then he got scratches on his face and neck.
After this he hit his head on the tiles and caused injury. He determined that Kaushalya had slipped and died due to oil. After this, the police arrested both Rajesh and Deepika, produced them in the court and put them in jail. This incident created a huge uproar in Tirupattur district.
