Tamil Nadu News: An incident has come to light in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, which is embarrassing the civilized society. Here, an elderly man was tried to be burnt alive by his daughter-in-law and her boyfriend. The victim is hospitalized with serious injuries.
64 year old victim Rajendran had been opposing his daughter-in-law’s illicit relationship with a man named Manikandan for some time. There were many fights in the family regarding this matter, after which the daughter-in-law along with her boyfriend Manikandan made a plan to remove Rajendran from the way.

Let us tell you that when the victim Rajendran was going on a bike, the accused Manikandan along with his associates stopped him. In front of everyone, petrol was poured on Rajendran and set on fire and he fled from there. The screams of Rajendran trapped in the fire went viral on social media. Due to 70 percent burns on his body, he is currently fighting for his life in the hospital. Those who witnessed this heart-wrenching incident are also angry.
Arrest of four accused
After registering the case on this incident, the police started investigation rapidly. The main accused Manikandan, the victim’s daughter-in-law Jayapriya and two other people involved were detained by the police. Cuddalore police said that a total of four people have been arrested and sent on remand. Such fatal incidents due to extramarital affairs are becoming a cause of concern at the local level. Extramarital affairs put their lives as well as the lives of others in danger. In some cases, entire families lose their lives. Still, there is no change in people’s behavior, police say.
