Tamil Nadu: The dreadful end of ‘Pyaar’! The man called his girlfriend to the forest, the man strangled her to death

Tamil Nadu News: A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Tenkasi district of Tamil Nadu. After a dispute in the affair, on the pretext of reaching a compromise, the young man called his girlfriend to the forest and in a fit of rage strangled her to death. In view of the tension in the area after this incident, the police is exercising vigilance.

Both were from different communities

The deceased Uma was a resident of Thalavayapuram area near Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar district. His father Vellaichamy runs a milk business. Uma was studying at a private police training center located at Parapatti in Tenkasi district. Meanwhile, Rajesh, a resident of Kolakkatankurichi in Thiruvengadam taluka, was also taking training in the same training centre. Both of them loved each other despite being from different communities.

There was a dispute going on between the two regarding some issue for some time, due to which Uma had stopped talking to Rajesh. Rajesh came to know about this on January 5 when Uma reached the training center to pay the fees. He first tried to explain on phone, but it did not work out.

Called and attacked in the forest

After this, Rajesh called Uma to a secluded forest area near Kasturi Rangapuram to talk face to face. There again a fight broke out during the conversation. In anger, Rajesh beat Uma and strangulated her. Within a few minutes, Uma’s breathing stopped and she died on the spot.

After the incident, Rajesh got scared and called 108 ambulance and informed that Uma was lying unconscious. Doctors declared Uma dead after investigation. After this, Rajesh surrendered after reaching Vembakottai police station and confessed to his crime.

Police are investigating

Rajesh said in his statement to the police that there was a dispute between the two regarding Uma talking to someone else on Instagram. He claimed that there was no intention to murder, it all happened out of anger. At present, the police have registered the case and started investigation and surveillance has been increased to maintain peace in the area.
