T20 matches may increase on Sri Lanka tour
According to media reports, BCCI is considering some changes in the program of Sri Lanka tour. At present, there are plans to play two test matches between India and Sri Lanka, which will be part of the World Test Championship. Now there is a possibility that three T20 matches may also be held before these Test matches. If this happens, then the tour of the Indian team can start with T20 matches.
Funds can be raised for flood affected people
It is being told that this proposal has come from Sri Lanka Cricket. Due to a major cyclone that hit Sri Lanka last year, there was huge damage in many areas. In such a situation, a plan is being made to raise funds for relief work by organizing additional T20 matches.
There may be a short T20 series in Ireland also
Before the Sri Lanka tour, Team India can also play T20 series in Ireland. For this, talks are going on between BCCI and Cricket Ireland. If everything is decided then this series can be held in the last week of June. The Indian team has visited Ireland several times before. In 2018, 2022 and 2023, India played T20 matches in Dublin, which were considered important for the promotion of cricket there.
England tour will also be important
After these possible series, Team India will tour England. In this tour, India has to play a limited overs series, which will include ODI and T20 matches.
Apart from this, the Indian team will also play a series against Afghanistan at home in June. There is a possibility of one Test and three ODI matches in this home series.
