A painful case has come to light in the early hours of today in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, which has shocked the entire city. At around 2:30 am today, three members of the same family ended their lives by jumping in front of a goods train between Charlapalli and Ghatkesar railway station.
The deceased have been identified as 38-year-old mother Pinninthi Vijayashanti, resident of Boduppal, and her children son Vishal Reddy and daughter Chetna Reddy. Police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody and started investigation to find out the real reason behind the suicide.

Information about the incident came to light when the loco pilot of the goods train saw the dead bodies lying on the track. The pilot immediately informed the railway control room and the police through walkie-talkie. The police reached the spot and during investigation found that it was a complete family tragedy. Deceased Vijayashanti lived with her two children. Son Vishal Reddy was a student of Intermediate first year and daughter Chetna Reddy was a student of Intermediate second year.
Initial police investigation has revealed some things which point towards family tension. According to the information, Vijayashanti’s husband Surender Reddy lived in Nellore and was separated from the family for a long time. Vijayashanti was raising children alone in Boduppal.

It is not yet clear whether loneliness, financial constraints or distance from her husband forced her to take this step. However, the police have registered the case and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. This incident has caused deep grief among the people nearby. Along with scanning the nearby CCTV footage, the police will also interrogate the family members so that the truth of this sensational suicide can come out.
