They registered their protest by putting up photos and posters of CM Revanth Reddy. The atmosphere became so hot that traffic was disrupted for a long time. At the same time, the situation became even more emotional in Kothapalli village of Bhupalapalli district. Villagers and workers took out a mock funeral by wrapping the replica of CM Revanth Reddy in a shroud, seeing which there was deep anger among the local people. BRS leaders under the leadership of former MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy also took out a bike rally in Bhupalpally.
Why did the controversy arise?
This entire controversy has come to light as an attempt to harass BRS President KCR in the name of SIT investigation. BRS leaders allege that the Congress government is using the investigation into the phone tapping case to settle political enmity. It is clear from the steps like ‘Shava Yatra’ in the villages that the party workers are quite irritated about the action being taken against their leader. This entire incident has taken the politics of the state to a new and heated level. On one hand, the government is calling the investigation a part of the legal process, while on the other hand, the opposition is calling it dictatorship. Now the question arises whether it will become difficult to maintain peace amid this increasing tension? This tussle between the two sides may continue for much longer.
