If you use Android smartphone then there is big news for you. Google has released its biggest security update in years, in which a total of 129 bugs have been fixed. The company has given this information in the Android Security Bulletin of March. This is a bigger update than the update released in April 2018, in which many security flaws were removed simultaneously. In this latest update, Google has also fixed the CVE-2026-21385 bug, which was already being exploited by cyber attackers. This bug was affecting Qualcomm’s 234 chipsets.
These bugs were also fixed
Apart from the Qualcomm chipset bug, Google has also fixed 10 critical bugs related to system, framework and kernel components. With the help of their bugs, cyber attackers could target the users and take control of their systems. The biggest impact of these critical bugs was on those users whose devices have Qualcomm chips. It covers most of the smartphones and tablets around the world. These users have been advised to install the latest update immediately.
How to install updates?
Go to the Settings of your Android device and open the About Phone section. After this, tap on Android version and select security update. Here you will see the update with patch level 2026-03-05. If this update is available then install it immediately. At the same time, if you are not seeing this update, then Google has also issued an advisory for such users, for whom this update is not available yet, they have been advised not to download apps from third party stores, be careful while opening attachments in websites and emails and keep Google Play Protect enabled.
