OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, is working on a new product and it is not an app or software. It is being told that these days the company is busy working on a smart pen. The company has been working on this hardware project for some time and this product is being called internally Gumdrop. Nothing has been said on this yet from OpenAI, but the wait for it has increased among tech lovers.
Your mind will be blown after knowing the features
This device, which looks like an ordinary pen, will have mind-blowing features. According to reports, notes taken with this pen can be instantly converted into digital text. It will also have audio feature and it will digitally note your spoken words. Preparations are underway to equip it with a voice assistant as well. Its most special thing will be that it can be connected to ChatGPT, so that if you speak or write anything, ChatGPT will be able to read it and make notes. Apart from this, that text can also be summarized and rewritten and all this work will be possible without any mobile or laptop.
Apple’s supplier company will do production
OpenAI had negotiated with Luxshare for the manufacturing of this pen, but the two could not agree on the production location. Now it is being said that Foxconn, the company that makes iPhone and other popular gadgets, will produce this pen.
Big challenge before OpenAI
OpenAI will face a big challenge regarding this new device. Actually, many screen-free devices including Rabbit R1 and Humane AI Pin have been launched before, but none of them have been able to leave their mark. In such a situation, OpenAI will be challenged to make its Gumdrop Smart Pen practical as well as attractive to the customers.
