Australia Bondi Beach Shooting: On December 14, two terrorists started firing indiscriminately on Sydney’s Bondi Beach. 12 people lost their lives in this firing and some injured were admitted to the hospital. Veteran England cricketer Michael Vaughan has told that when this attack took place on Bondi Beach, he was stranded in a restaurant at the same place.

Michael Vaughan is currently a part of the broadcasting team of the Ashes 2025-26 series, for this series he is staying in Australia. Michael has shared his experience while posting on X. People who witnessed this incident with their own eyes said that at around 6:40 in the evening, two people got out of the car and started firing indiscriminately.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has described this incident as inspired by terrorism. When this attack took place on Bondi Beach, a person showed bravery by snatching the gun from the terrorist and made him fall down. In this case, the Australian police has arrested a person, whose name is said to be Navid Akram. Akram is currently in police custody, while another terrorist was killed in an encounter.

Ashes series status

2 matches have been completed in the Ashes series, host Australia has won both these matches and is taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Australia won the first Test played in Perth by 8 wickets and then Australia won by 8 wickets at Gabba ground also. The third Ashes Test is to be played in Adelaide from 17 December.
