Tamil Nadu News: A heart-wrenching case from Kolathtur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu has shocked the entire area. 35 year old Pradeep works as a painter. His 28 year old wife is Preeti. Due to suspicion of his wife, he killed his own two innocent daughters. The deceased girls have been identified as 7-year-old Lia and 4-year-old Subhiksha.
According to the information, Pradeep had frequent fights with his wife, due to which Preeti left her children with her husband and went to her parents’ house. Constantly suspicious of his wife’s conduct, Pradeep went to Mahabalipuram with his daughters Lia and Subhiksha on 14 February.
Police found dead daughters
Living on rent in a room in Ottawade Street, he spoke on video call from his room to his relative in Chennai, saying that he was going to commit suicide along with his daughters and disconnected the connection. Then the relatives in Chennai reached Mahabalipuram in panic and when they went to the hotel room with the police, two daughters were found dead on the bed, while Pradeep was struggling for life after drinking the chemical and foaming at the mouth. He was rescued and sent to Chengalpattu Government Hospital, where he received intensive medical treatment, but he survived and was arrested two weeks later.

The accused said in his statement to the police that out of anger at his wife, he took his two daughters and decided to commit suicide. First of all, I killed both my daughters by drowning them in a bucket full of water in the hotel bathroom. Then I immediately tried to commit suicide, for which I drank the prepared chemical. Pradeep, who recovered after treatment at Chengalpattu Government Hospital, was arrested by the police on charges of murder. After this, the police produced him in Thirukazhukundram court and lodged him in Puzhal jail.
