The wife kept asking for help with folded hands on the blood soaked road, the husband kept suffering on the road and then…

A heart-wrenching incident took place in Bengaluru, in which 34-year-old garage mechanic Venkataramanan died of a heart attack. On December 16, 2025, around 3:30 am, his wife was taking him to the hospital on a bike to save him, but an accident happened on the way. The wife kept asking for help with folded hands on the blood-soaked road, but no one stopped for several minutes. Eventually a cab driver helped and took him to the hospital, but it was too late.

Had a heart attack at midnight, doctors were not found in the first hospital.

Venkataramanan lived in Balaji Nagar in South Bengaluru with his wife, 5-year-old son, 18-month-old daughter and mother. On December 16, 2025, around 3:30 am, he felt severe chest pain at home. The wife immediately took him on the bike and reached the nearest private hospital, but the doctor was not on duty there, so he did not get treatment and he was refused.

Emergency treatment not available in other hospital

Then he went to another private hospital. ECG was done there, in which mild heart attack was detected. But even there emergency treatment was not started nor was an ambulance provided. Doctors had asked him to go to a big hospital like Sri Jayadev Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences in Jaynagar.

An accident occurred while going to the third hospital.

Venkataramanan’s wife tried to call an ambulance, but did not get a proper response. Then both of them were forced to go out on the bike but an accident happened on the way. Venkataraman fell on the road groaning in pain. The wife herself got injured and started bleeding, but she did not give up. She kept pleading for help on the road covered in blood.

The entire incident was captured in CCTV, the cab helped

It is clearly visible in the CCTV footage that the wife was pleading with folded hands in front of every passing vehicle. At least two cars, a tempo, a bike and several other vehicles passed by, but no one stopped. The wife told, ‘I was covered in blood, asking for help, but no one came. Humanity could not help my husband.

After several minutes, a cab driver stopped and took Venkatramanan to a nearby hospital. But the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The family’s pain erupted over the heart-wrenching incident.

Venkataramanan was the last son of his mother. Earlier his five children had passed away. Mother said, ‘I have no words to say. My son is gone.
At the same time, Venkataramanan’s mother-in-law said, ‘The government should understand the health emergency. My daughter-in-law is left alone with two small children, who will take care of them now?’

In this hour of grief, the family took a big decision and donated Venkataramanan’s eyes. The wife said, ‘Humanity failed, but we fulfilled our duty and donated his eyes.’ This will provide light to two people. This incident is raising big questions on the lack of emergency medical facilities and apathy of the people in Bengaluru. The family is now feeling alone and helpless.
