TMC Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee has given a big statement on the ongoing politics regarding the Babri Masjid under construction in Murshidabad. He has also targeted the Central Government on the issue of SIR. He has raised serious questions regarding this. Abhishek said that the use of a religious place like a mosque or a temple should not be a subject for political gain. He has instructed to avoid making this issue a political weapon.

Regarding the construction of Babri Masjid in Murshidabad, Abhishek said that only bricks have been laid there. Some leaders are fanning communal politics. He also took his party leader Humayun Kabir to task. He asked why the leader who had once been a BJP candidate never had any objection to the demolition of Babri Masjid.
Abhishek also mentioned the Pulwama attack and said that political posters were put up at that time also. Banerjee sought answers from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the violence in Bangladesh. Also expressed surprise at the lack of public response from the Prime Minister on this.
Targeted at Election Commission
Speaking on the issue of SIR, Abhishek talked about pressure on BLOs. Also said that during this process, 58 deaths occurred and 29 BLOs committed suicide. The Election Commission has not yet given any answer to his questions. Names of lakhs of voters were removed in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh and Kerala. The least number of names were removed in Bengal, but Bengal is being targeted.
Demand to make the list of 1.36 crore voters public
Abhishek Banerjee has appealed to the Election Commission to make the list of 1.36 crore voters public. These are alleged to be wrong voters. This includes Rohingya and Bangladeshi citizens. He said that if the list was not released, the Election Commission should apologize. Many living people have been declared dead. He has district level certificates.
He announced that he will meet Election Commission officials in Delhi on December 31. Will telecast the meeting live. Also said that if the list is not released then the Election Commission will also be gheraoed. He said that he will be active from January 1 and will take to the streets from January 2. He will hold rallies in the districts and participate in public meetings. The report card of Mamta government for 15 years will also be placed before the public.
