Tamil Nadu News: A sensational murder case has come to light from Kodaikanal in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, in which Surya Narayanan, 73-year-old father of film supporting actress Vishnu Priya, was brutally murdered. This incident took place in his bungalow located near Kurinji Andavar Murugan Temple, where some youths were staying as tourists. At around 1 am on Saturday night, bungalow employee Arumugam raised an alarm and informed the police through his neighbour’s mobile phone that a murder had taken place in the bungalow.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and broke the lock of the bungalow and entered inside. In the first room, employee Murali was found with his hands and legs tied with tape, who was saved. In another room, Surya Narayanan was brutally murdered by making him sit on a chair and pasting tape on his mouth, nose, head and body. There were marks of serious injuries on his body. The body was sent to Kodaikanal Government Hospital for post-mortem.
Five youths stayed in the bungalow posing as tourists
Police investigation revealed that five youths had stayed in the bungalow posing as tourists. He showed friendship to the employees and after giving them alcohol, he took advantage of the opportunity and committed the crime. After tying up the employees, Surya Narayanan was interrogated about the documents of property worth crores of rupees and then he was murdered. The accused fled from the bungalow with hard disk, land lease and other items.
Special teams of Theni and Dindigul district police conducted the investigation on the basis of CCTV footage and mobile signals. Raids were conducted at many places including Chennai, Velankanni, Pondicherry. During this, many accused including Shyam, Mahendran, Gokulnath, Ranjeet, Kishore alias Krishna Prasad, Akshay Nataraj, Karthik and studio owner Vignesh were arrested. Apart from this, Girija and his son Dr. Kiran were also detained after being found involved in the conspiracy.

According to the police, this murder was done as part of a conspiracy to double the money and obtain property documents. Gold rings, chains, property documents worth crores of rupees and two luxury cars have been recovered from the accused. Kodaikanal Police has revealed this heinous murder in just three days and arrested all the accused. At present, further investigation of the case is going on.
