Gede Priyandana, this is the name of the player who has performed a historic feat in International T20 cricket. He has become the first bowler in the world to take 5 wickets in a single over of an International T20 match. He achieved this feat in the match against Cambodia, Priyandana bowled one over in this match, in which he gave only one run and took a total of 5 wickets.
Till now no one had been able to do the feat of taking 5 wickets in a single over. Earlier, bowlers like Lasith Malinga, Rashid Khan and Jason Holder had created history by taking 4 wickets in a single over. But no one had taken five wickets till now. Thanks to this lethal bowling of Priyandana, Indonesia won the match by 60 runs.
5 wickets in one over became a world record
The T20 match between Indonesia and Cambodia was played on 23 December 2025. The Indonesian team had scored 167 runs while playing first. In response, the Cambodian team was all out for just 107 runs.
Till 15 overs of play, Cambodia had scored 106 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. Gede Priyandana came to bowl the 16th over. He had to bowl 7 balls to complete the over because he bowled a wide. He completed the hat-trick by taking wickets in the first three balls. The fourth ball was a dot, but he again took the wicket on the fifth ball. After that he took another wicket on a wide and the last ball. In this way Indonesia won this match by 60 runs.

Earlier, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga had taken 4 wickets in a single over in a T20 match against New Zealand in the year 2019. Whereas Ireland’s Curtis Campher took 4 wickets in a single over of the match against Netherlands in 2022.
