The prices of tickets for the matches to be held at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup have been revealed. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Wednesday officially announced the ticket rates for different matches. The special thing is that spectators will get tickets in the range of Rs 100 to Rs 10,000. That means there will be options for every category, from common fans to premium viewers.
This prestigious tournament is going to start from February 7 and Eden Gardens will once again witness big matches. There is a clear difference in ticket prices for important matches like Group Stage, Super-8 and Semi-Finals.
What is the ticket price for group matches?
Ticket prices have been kept relatively low for group matches like Bangladesh vs Italy, England vs Italy and West Indies vs Italy. In these matches, Premium Hospitality (B Premium) ticket will be available for Rs 4,000. Tickets for Lower Block B and L will be available for Rs 1,000.
Apart from this, tickets for Lower Block C, F and K will be available at Rs 200, while the price of Lower Block D, E, G, H and J has also been kept at Rs 200. Whereas tickets for Upper Block B1, C1, D1, F1, G1, H1, K1 and L1 will be available for only Rs 100. Due to which it will be easier for the general audience to watch the match in the stadium.
Higher prices for bigger matches
Ticket prices have been kept slightly higher for high-profile group matches like West Indies vs Bangladesh and England vs Bangladesh. B premium ticket in these matches will be priced at Rs 5,000. Tickets for Lower Block B and L will be available for Rs 1,500, Tickets for Lower Block C, F and K will be available for Rs 1,000 and Tickets for Lower Block D, E, G, H and J will be available for Rs 500. Tickets for Upper Block will be available for Rs 300.
Super-8 and semi-finals are the most expensive
Tickets for the Super-8 matches and semi-finals to be held at Eden Gardens have been kept the most expensive. The price of premium hospitality ticket has been fixed at Rs 10,000. Lower Block B and L tickets will be available for Rs 3,000, C, F and K tickets will be available for Rs 2,500 and D, E, G, H and J tickets will be available for Rs 1,500. The price of upper block tickets will be Rs 900.
