Top leaders of Saudi Arabia including King Salman congratulated India on the 77th Republic Day, President of Maldives also sent a special message.

Top leaders of Saudi Arabia, including King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, congratulated India on Republic Day on Monday. Along with this, a congratulatory message also came from Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu. A statement issued by Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said, ‘Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent greetings to the President of the Republic of India, Draupadi Murmu, on the occasion of her country’s Republic Day.’

The statement further said, ‘The King conveyed his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to President Murmu for continued health and happiness and for the continued progress and prosperity of the Government and people of India. He praised the special relations connecting the two friendly countries, in which everyone wants development in every field.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman congratulated the President on Republic Day

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also congratulated President Murmu on Republic Day. The Saudi MFA said, ‘The Crown Prince conveyed his best wishes for President Murmu’s good health and happiness, and for the further progress and prosperity of the government and people of India.’

In April 2025, India and Saudi Arabia expanded their bilateral Strategic Partnership Council. Two new cabinet level committees were included in it, for defense cooperation and tourism and culture. At that time Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a state visit to the Middle East country.

Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu congratulated

Apart from this, Maldives President Mohammed Muizzu also congratulated India on the occasion of 77th Republic Day. He wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, ‘Hearty congratulations and best wishes to President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government and the people of India on their 77th Republic Day. This day strongly reflects the promise of the people of India to uphold the principles of freedom, democracy and good governance.

Regarding the relations between the two countries, President Muizzu wrote, ‘Maldives wants to continue working together to further strengthen our excellent relations. This has greatly benefited the well-being of the people of both the countries.

When India is celebrating its 77th Republic Day, leaders and diplomats from all over the world have congratulated the country’s government and its people. Superpowers America and China also congratulated India on Republic Day. China said that India and the dragon should dance together.
