After getting approval from the US Senate in October 2025 and taking oath on November 11, Sergio Gore has now reached Delhi to take charge in India. He will formally assume the post of US Ambassador to India on January 12. After reaching India, Sergio Gore wrote on his social media account X, ‘It feels great to be back in India. 39-year-old Sergio Gore was born in Uzbekistan in the year 1986. His family moved to America in 1991. He has graduated from George Washington University.
