The screenplay of this film has been adapted from the Thai film THE POOL. Meaning, instead of directly calling it a remake, it has been wrapped in English and written on the screen, but this is public and everyone knows. Its original film is available in Hindi on YouTube and that too is not such a controversial film. It is 1 hour and 40 minutes long but it tests your patience for 2, hours and 25 minutes. That too by lying in a swimming pool without 20 feet of water. Despite good acting, the weak treatment of the film disappoints.
Story
This is the story of two influencers, one of whom, Miss Vanity, has 2 million followers and the boy has 10 thousand. The two make out, then fall in love, and then get trapped in a swimming pool, where a crocodile arrives. You have already seen this story in the trailer. Now how will they survive, you can go to the theater and see if you yourself survive till the end.
how is the movie
Seeing the first half of this film, it seemed as if everyone associated with the film was practicing making songs and everyone made songs and put them wherever they wanted in the film. How does the chemistry develop between the two? How does a big influencer like a small boy? It is not understood properly, in the first half a song comes every once in a while, and you get irritated. Then the real story starts in the second half, but it also does not scare you. Can’t tie it. That’s fine, at some places things seem far from logic. Overall this film is a very average film. Which can be seen only for its second half and the brilliant performance of Adarsh Gaurav.
acting
Aarsh Gaurav has done an amazing job, he has tried his best to carry the film on his shoulders. He is very much engaged in the role of a local rapper of Mumbai. From her looks to her speech everything is amazing and looking at her it seems that she is really a long race horse in cinema, Shanaya has done a good job, she has to be praised that she is doing different films. A Napo kid is trolled forcefully anyway but here Shanaya does her job well. She is suiting the character. Wearing a swim suit but doesn’t show the ugly screen. Adarsh and Shanaya have tried their best to bring life to this weak film, Parul Gulati also has a small role in the film. I don’t understand why he did that. Neither was this role suitable for her nor was she interested in it.
Writing and Direction
Himanshu Sharma has written the story. Bejoy Nambiar has directed the film. The story has dragged on unnecessarily, the film could have been completed comfortably in two hours. The film starts in the second half only. In terms of direction, some scenes are good while some are quite average, the location definitely looks good in the film.
Overall, if there is nothing to do, then see it.
