Patiala House Court has granted bail to Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib in the AI Summit demonstration case. The court rejected Delhi Police Crime Branch’s demand for seven-day remand, terming it as inadequate. The court has granted bail to Chib on a personal bond of Rs 50 thousand. There is also a condition in the bail that Chib will deposit his passport and electronic gadgets in the court.

Late night, Delhi Police Crime Branch had demanded in the court to extend the police custody remand of Uday Bhanu Chib by seven days. Along with this, a separate application was also filed for the remand of two other accused in the case.
After the bail application was filed by the defense side, the duty magistrate granted bail to Uday Bhanu Chib, giving relief. The court said in the order that the crime branch did not give sufficient reasons for extending the remand.
Uproar during AI summit in Delhi
Recently AI Summit was organized in Delhi. Leaders and owners of big companies from all over the world participated in this event. The program was organized at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi. There was a lot of uproar in Congress’s protest during the summit. After this, the police took strict action and arrested many people including Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib. In Chib’s arrest memo, he was described as the main conspirator and mastermind of the illegal gathering at Bharat Mandapam. Apart from this, Congress leaders were also arrested from different parts of the country.

Congress and BJP came face to face regarding the protest in Bharat Mandapam. BJP called it an attempt to tarnish the image of the country. At the same time, Congress called the arrest of Uday Bhanu Chib unconstitutional. Congress said that the Constitution of the country gives every citizen the right to protest and we are not afraid of these tactics.
