Ukraine has carried out several drone attacks in Russian areas overnight. In these, the border area of Belgorod has been targeted. According to local officials, many civilians have been injured in this attack. A three year old girl is also included in these. On Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry issued a statement saying that Russia’s air defense has intercepted and destroyed 86 Ukrainian UAVs in 9 areas. Maximum 29 drones have been dropped in Belgorod area. After this, 14 drones have been destroyed in Saratov area of Central Russia.
According to Russia’s RT website, Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that a drone attacked a car near the village of Krasivo, about 10 km from the border. A man and a three-year-old girl were badly injured in this attack. Both are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Apart from this, information about two separate attacks has also been given by them. He said that a woman and three people were injured in another attack. Gas pipelines and electricity lines are installed in residential apartments and commercial areas of the area. Apart from this, an infrastructure site has also been damaged. Due to this, electricity has also been lost in some people’s houses.
Russia has also accused Ukraine of terrorist attacks and deliberately attacking essential infrastructure, including civilians. Local officials say an energy site has been damaged in the Ukrainian attack. Due to this there has been massive power outage. Water supply has also stopped. Russian officials have clearly said that civilians should not be targeted in the attacks.
4 international airports in Moscow closed
Keeping in mind the attacks carried out by Ukraine, all four international airports located in the capital Moscow have been closed until further notice. Air Defense Force has shot down 11 Ukrainian drones in one hour. Russia’s Civil Aviation Agency said that all four international airports have been closed due to security reasons. Among these, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, Zhukovsky and Sheremetyevo airports have been closed.
