US Hawaii Volcano: Volcano active in America! Lava spewing up to 1000 feet! Pieces of stone, glass and ash fell on the highway

Once again intense volcanic activity is being seen in Kilauea Volcano located in Hawaii, America. It is spewing lava up to 1000 feet. Along with this, small stones and ash coming out of the volcano are falling in the surrounding areas, due to which some places in the Big Island of Hawaii have had to be temporarily closed.

According to APTN report, the process of lava flow started in the morning of Tuesday (10 March 2026). This is the 43rd incident of this ongoing volcanic eruption since December 2024. According to scientists, it is not yet clear how long this activity will continue. Some times in the past too it has lasted only for a few hours, while some incidents have continued for several days.

Local administration warned

Currently, the lava is inside the summit crater of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and is not a threat to nearby homes. However, small particles like ash and glass from the volcano are falling in nearby areas and parts of Highway 11. For security reasons, officials have closed the area around the park and a section of the highway. The local administration has also opened a temporary shelter site for the people. The National Weather Service has warned people to be cautious about falling ash.

According to officials, tephra coming out of the volcano can cause problems related to eyes, skin and breathing. It can also damage rainwater collection tanks and systems, which are common in many areas of the Big Island. Kilauea is considered one of the most active volcanoes in the world and such activities keep happening here from time to time. The administration is on alert regarding this.
