iPhone users are facing strange problems these days regarding battery. According to media reports, an iPhone user said that during the air travel, the battery of his iPhone 16 Pro Max swelled in the plane and due to this the back panel got detached from the middle. As soon as the user’s flight landed, it went back to its original size. Another user has also said about facing such a problem with his iPhone 15. Let us know the whole matter in detail.
The battery becomes normal as soon as the plane lands on the ground.
According to a report by PhoneArena, a person using iPhone 16 Pro Max said that the battery of his iPhone swelled during the flight, due to which the back panel of the phone got torn off from the middle. Similarly, an iPhone 15 user also shared his similar experience. iPhone 15 users say that this has happened to them twice and both times the battery returned to normal after the plane landed.
Why is this happening?
Explaining the reason behind these incidents, many people say that the iPhone battery contains gas, which works properly at normal pressure and the battery does not swell. But if someone travels in an old plane in which the cabin pressure is not maintained at the proper level, then the battery swells due to the gas and as soon as the pressure recovers after the plane lands on the ground, it goes back to its original size. However, the iPhone 15 user says that after changing the battery, this did not happen to him again.
What should be done in such a situation?
If you notice any problem with your iPhone’s battery during air travel, immediately inform the cabin crew. A swollen battery can cause fire and such an incident can be fatal during air travel. Apart from this, do not forget to take a photo of the affected device. This will make it easier to get battery replacement done from Apple Service Center.
