Now questions are being raised on the arrest of Rishi Gupta, MD and CEO of Fino Payments Bank. Veteran businessman and Chairman of Aarin Capital Mohandas Pai has raised questions in the matter. In a post on X on Saturday, Mohandas Pai raised questions as to how the CEO of a bank can be arrested for the mistake of his business partner. Further in the post he has asked whether this is not crossing the limits of rights? Expressing concern over the matter, he further said that how will the safety of common people be ensured to prevent misuse of the wide powers given to the government in GST. Mohandas Pai, former CFO of Infosys and Padma Shri awardee, also appealed to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to intervene in the case of arrest of CEO of Fino Payments Bank.
