Karnataka was once embarrassed by the scandal of obscene videos inside the Assembly and today the state is once again going through a phase of sensation, questions and suspension. This time the matter is directly related to the guardians of the law. While the leaders are busy saving their seats, there is such an earthquake in the administrative corridors that not only the police department but the entire government is seen standing in the dock.
Suddenly some videos went viral on social media. In the video, Karnataka DGP (Civil Rights Enforcement) K. Ramachandra Rao was seen in objectionable condition with different women. As soon as the video spread, there was panic in the political circles, panic in the administration and anger among the public.
What did Ramachandra Rao say in his defense?
Ramachandra Rao said that these videos are fabricated, false and completely fake. I don’t know when and who made these. He said that anything can be made in today’s era. Ultimately, after increasing pressure, the Karnataka government appointed DGP K. Ramachandra Rao has been suspended. It is clearly written in the suspension order that the conduct of the officer is unbecoming of a government servant and has caused serious damage to the image of the government.
CM’s statement
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that we got information about this in the morning. We will conduct an investigation and if the officer is found guilty, no matter how senior he is, strict action will be taken. no one is above the law. Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that if something wrong has been done, action will be taken and seniority will not be considered. Whereas BJP has called it an “unforgivable crime”.
When the question was raised that the videos could be old, 1993 batch IPS officer Ramachandra Rao said that if we talk about old, then about eight years ago when I was posted in Belagavi. He also reiterated, “I have nothing to do with these videos.” After the video went viral, Ramachandra Rao approached Home Minister G. Tried to meet God, but could not meet. The government has made it clear that now the decision will be taken after the investigation report.
