5 candidates are trying their luck for 4 Rajya Sabha seats of Odisha. Two candidates have fielded from BJP – Manmahon Samal and Sujit Kumar, while the party has given its support to Dilip Ray. The victory of both BJP candidates and one BJD candidate is certain, but for the fourth seat there will be a tough contest between BJP’s dedicated Dilip Ray and Congress’ dedicated Datteshwar Mishra.

6 candidates are trying their luck for 5 Rajya Sabha seats of Bihar. Apart from BJP President Nitin Nabin, Shivesh Kumar is in the fray while Ramnath Thakur and Nitish Kumar from JDU are also trying their luck. The fifth candidate from NDA is Upendra Kushwaha. RJD has made the contest interesting by making Amarendra Dhari Singh its Rajya Sabha candidate. To win 1 Rajya Sabha seat in Bihar, 41 MLAs are needed. NDA has a total of 202 MLAs while the opposition has 35 MLAs. Apart from this, there are 6 other MLAs. 2-2 candidates of BJP and JDU will win easily, but Upendra Kushwaha will have to fight with RJD for his victory.
3 candidates for 2 seats of Haryana
There are 3 candidates in the fray for 2 Rajya Sabha seats of Haryana. Sanjay Bhatia from BJP and Karmaveer Buddh from Congress are in the fray. Satish Nandal has made the contest interesting by filing independent nomination, who has the support of BJP. In such a situation, BJP’s victory on one seat is certain, but for the second seat there will be a contest between Congress and an independent candidate. To win 1 Rajya Sabha seat in Haryana, support of 31 MLAs is required. There are 90 members in the state assembly, out of which BJP has 48 MLAs and Congress has 37 MLAs. Apart from this, there are two INLD MLAs and three independent MLAs. In this context, BJP and Congress can win one Rajya Sabha seat each.

All are certain to be elected unopposed. Apart from this, 3 candidates are in the fray for 3 Rajya Sabha seats of Assam. Terash Gowala of BJP, Jogen Mohan and Pramod Boro of UPPL are in the fray, who are supported by BJP.
Only 2 candidates are in the fray for 2 seats in Chhattisgarh. Lakshmi Verma from BJP and Phulo Devi Netam from Congress. It is certain that both of them will be elected unopposed. Anurag Sharma is the candidate from the same Congress on 1 seat of Himachal, who is certain to win the election unopposed.
Two candidates are in the fray for two Rajya Sabha seats in Telangana. Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Vem Narendra Reddy have filed nomination from Congress, no candidate is in the fray from the opposition.
