Dubai Police had arrested accused Hrithik Bajaj about a month ago in a major case related to international drug smuggling. According to sources, as soon as Hrithik reached Dubai from Thailand, he was taken into custody. Interpol had already issued a Red Corner Notice against accused Hrithik Bajaj, on the basis of which Dubai Police had taken this action.
This matter came to light last year in the month of October 2024, when cocaine worth about Rs 13,000 crore and about 50 kg of hydroponic ganja was recovered from Delhi and Gujarat. So far five people have been arrested in this case and chargesheet has been filed against 14 accused. Hrithik Bajaj is also a named accused in the same charge sheet.
According to the investigating agencies, the mastermind of this entire drug syndicate is international drug smuggler Virendra Basoya, who is currently said to be in Dubai. Interpol has also issued a Red Corner Notice against his son Rishabh Basoya in this case. At the same time, Indian agencies were in constant touch with Dubai Police to break this network completely.

Hrithik Bajaj was deported from Dubai to India on Tuesday (December 23, 2025). He has been brought to New Delhi and handed over to Delhi Police. According to CBI officials, the Ministry of External Affairs, Union Home Ministry and Interpol had important cooperation in this entire operation.
Delhi Police was searching for accused Hrithik for a long time. It is alleged that he was fully active in the network related to smuggling and supply of drugs and had fled the country after the crime. During investigation, it was revealed that Hrithik was living secretly in Dubai and was carrying out his activities from there. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Delhi also played an important role in tracing his location. Based on the input received from NCB, his presence was confirmed to the agencies. After which the process of catching him was intensified.
Delhi Police team went to Dubai to bring back drug smuggler
On the request of Delhi Police, CBI had issued a red notice against Hrithik Bajaj through Interpol on October 9, 2025. After this, continuous coordination was made with Interpol’s National Central Bureau based in Bangkok and Abu Dhabi. The result of this coordination was that the accused could be monitored and eventually he was brought to India.
A team of Delhi Police had gone to Dubai to bring Hrithik Bajaj to India, which reached New Delhi on Tuesday (December 23, 2025). Now the accused will be presented in the court and further legal action will be taken.
