‘We will take revenge for every death’, the first statement of the Supreme Leader of Iran, warning to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed

Meanwhile, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned that he will take revenge from America for every death. He said that in the war, we can also open another front, which the enemy will not be in favor of. Mojtaba Khamenei made it clear that Iran has blocked the path of the enemies and the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed for now.

Iran will continue attacking Gulf countries

Mojtaba Khamenei’s statement was read by a news anchor on state television on Thursday (12 March 2026), he himself was not seen on camera. He warned that if American military bases in the Middle East continued to operate, they could be attacked. His reference was towards the Gulf countries. He said, ‘All American military bases in this region should be closed immediately.’ The Iranian leader vowed to avenge those killed in the war and claimed Iran would seek compensation from its enemy. He said that if the enemy refuses to do so, Iran will seize its assets or destroy them to the same extent.

Strait of Hormuz will also remain closed: Mojtaba Khamenei

Mojtaba Khamenei clarified Iran’s stand on the Strait of Hormuz. He said that Iran should continue to use a strategic path in the war to exert pressure. He said that Iran should continue using the weapon to close the Strait of Hormuz. He made it clear that Iran’s policy towards neighboring countries remains one of cooperation. According to the statement, Iran supports friendly relations with regional countries, but also warns them against hosting US forces.

Iran’s new leader said that Tehran will not hesitate at all in taking revenge for the killing of its citizens. He mentioned the attack in the southern Iranian city of Minab, where a girls’ school was destroyed in a missile attack on the very first day of the war. He said, ‘We will not forget anyone’s martyrdom. We will avenge every death, we will not let the blood of our martyrs go in vain.
