Apart from this, a warning has also been issued regarding dense fog. At the same time, warning of snowfall has been issued at many places in the hilly states. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall at some places in Jammu and Kashmir, higher reaches of Ladakh and Himachal in the next 24 hours.
Cold will increase further in Delhi
A warning of dense fog has been issued in Delhi today (22 December) from 5 am to 11 pm. During this period, strong wind will also blow at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour. Whereas in Delhi on Tuesday, the maximum temperature will be 22 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature will be 9 degrees Celsius.

There is chill these days in Uttar Pradesh also. On Sunday, a drop in temperature was felt in the capital Lucknow including Gorakhpur, Barabanki, Sultanpur, Ghazipur, Basti, Sonbhadra, Aligarh and Etawah. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog in some areas of Eastern Uttar Pradesh during night/morning hours till 23 December. In many districts of UP, schools from nursery to class eight have been closed due to winter. The effect of fog is also being seen on road, rail and air services. Dense fog warning has been issued in Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Barabanki, Aligarh, Bareilly.
How will the weather be in Bihar-Jharkhand?
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog at some places during night/morning hours in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and Northern Madhya Pradesh till 22 December and in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha till 24 December. There is a possibility of severe cold in some areas of Uttarakhand and Jharkhand today. Apart from this, there is a possibility of darkness due to dense fog in Sonipat, Panipat, Faridabad, Gurugram and Fatehabad of Haryana. IMD has issued a warning of dense fog in Amritsar, Faridkot, Kapurthala, Mansa and Moga in Punjab.
