The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of rain and strong thunderstorm in 11 states during the next 24 hours. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour at some places. Farmers have been advised to take special precautions, because crops may be damaged.
According to IMD, there is a possibility of rain in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Andaman-Nicobar Islands from February 23. There has also been a possibility of thunder and lightning at many places.
