Howrah-Kolkata Fire News: Incidents of fire in West Bengal are continuously increasing the concern. The latest case has come to light from Amta area of Howrah district, where four people of the same family died tragically. At the same time, there was chaos due to a massive fire in a residential building on Anand Palit Road in Kolkata on Sunday.

A massive fire broke out in a house in Sauria village of Jhamtia area of Amta Jaipur police station area of Howrah district late on Sunday night. In this accident, four people of the same family burnt to death. A girl student studying in class nine is also included among the dead. According to local sources, the entire family was sleeping in the house at night when suddenly a fire broke out. The fire spread so fast that the four people present in the house could not get a chance to come out and got trapped inside.
Seeing the flames, the people nearby immediately informed the police and fire department. Fire engines reached the spot and after about an hour of hard work the fire could be controlled. When firefighters reached inside the house, four bodies of the same family were recovered from there. Seeing this painful scene, mourning spread throughout the village. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and have started investigating the cause of the fire.
People in panic due to fire
The road in the area where the fire broke out is very narrow. Seeing the fire and smoke, the local people panicked and many families came out of their homes. Firefighters kept trying to control the fire, but the fire was not completely extinguished till late evening.
The cause of the fire is not known at present. Some local people also prevented the media from taking photographs, due to which information about the cause of the fire remained limited.
Concern increased due to frequent fire incidents
It is worth noting that even before this, a massive fire had broken out in the slums of Newtown and Kankurgachi area, where hundreds of houses were burnt to ashes. These continuous incidents have increased the concern of both the administration and the common people.
Police and fire department say that both the cases are being investigated in depth, so that the cause of the fire can be found out and such accidents can be prevented in future.
