West Bengal: Accused of building a house by filling water land, police sent summons to Humayun Kabir’s wife.

West Bengal News: A political and legal incident related to Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, has come to light. The wife of Bharatpur MLA Humayun Kabir has been summoned by the police to appear at the police station. According to the information, his wife Meera Sultana has been directed to be present at Shaktipur police station in Murshidabad on Wednesday at 12 noon.

It is being told that Meera Sultana has been accused of filling the land with water and building a house on it. In this matter, the Land and Land Reforms Department had earlier sent a notice, but no reply was given to that notice. After this the department lodged a complaint with the police, on the basis of which the police has now sent summons to him.

Allegation of building a house by filling water land

According to sources, a notice had been sent to Meera Sultana earlier also by the Land Department. The allegation is that he filled the waterlogged land and got the construction work done there. The department had sought clarification from him, but after no reply was received within the stipulated time, the matter was taken forward.

After this, based on the complaint of the Land and Land Revenue Department, the police took action and directed him to appear at the police station. However, it is not yet clear whether Meera Sultana will be present at the police station on time or not.

Even before, action has been taken against the family

This is not the first time that the name of the MLA’s family has come up in a case. Even before this, many members of his family have been summoned by the police for questioning. Recently, Humayun Kabir’s son-in-law was also summoned by the police in a drug case.

It is said that in a case registered on February 8, he was asked to appear at Lalgola police station at 11 am on February 28. In this case, the police has already seized many properties belonging to the MLA’s daughter and son-in-law.

Political allegations of MLA Humayun Kabir

MLA Humayun Kabir has also made political allegations regarding this entire matter. He claims that his son-in-law was given a proposal by Trinamool Congress to contest elections from Lalgola.

He also said that on one hand his family’s properties are being confiscated and on the other hand there is talk of making his son-in-law a candidate. The MLA alleges that a conspiracy is being hatched against him and political pressure is being created.
