West Bengal News: A sensational allegation of attack on the car of BJP MLA’s wife has come to light in Bangaon, West Bengal. Moumita Kirtanian, wife of BJP MLA from Bangaon North Ashok Kirtanian, was going to attend the Kali Puja program when her car was surrounded in Beledanga area of Gopalnagar.
BJP MLAs allege that a group of armed people attacked the vehicle with sticks, rods and bamboo. It is alleged that the attackers tried to set the vehicle on fire by setting fire to the ends of sticks. Some people have also been injured in this incident. After the incident, huge tension spread in the area, after which heavy police force was deployed on the spot.
50-60 people attacked- Rinku Bairagi
Rinku Bairagi, mother-in-law of BJP MLA from Bangaon South, Swapan Majumdar, alleged that around 50 to 60 people were standing on the road. They had rods and weapons in their hands. There was fire on the ends of the sticks and the plan was to burn the vehicle. He told that the vehicle was brutally attacked and abuses were also uttered. He claims that this was a big conspiracy.
Trinamool accused
Bangaon South BJP MLA Swapan Majumdar said that after targeting the MLA’s car, some anti-social elements of Trinamool attacked the glass with bricks and rods without listening to anything. Meanwhile, Bangaon North BJP MLA Ashok Kirtaniya alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to burn alive two people sitting in the car. He said that if the administration does not make proper arrangements then the responsibility will be on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Trinamool rejected the allegations
On this entire matter, Trinamool Congress has denied any connection with the attack. Trinamool Bangaon organizational district president Vishwajit Das said that a few days ago a person had committed suicide in the area, after which the MLAs had not reached there. Local people had gone to ask him questions.
He alleged that first the MLA’s son got down from the car and assaulted the people, after which the local people got enraged and the situation worsened. Trinamool says that there is no politics related to this incident. After the incident, tension spread in Gopalnagar area. As soon as the information was received, a large number of police forces reached the spot and the situation was brought under control. At present the entire matter is being investigated.
