West Bengal News: A horrific road accident took place on National Highway 31 at 2:18 pm on Monday night near Putimari village of Shamukatala police station area of Alipurduar, West Bengal. A car coming at a high speed collided with a banyan tree in front of the Central Bank, due to which the car got divided into three pieces. Three youths died in the accident and the driver is seriously injured.
The age of the deceased youth is said to be between 23 to 25 years. Of the three youths killed in the accident, one is a resident of Rajabhatkhawa, while the other is a resident of Balira Alipurduar Junction. The seriously injured driver was shifted from Alipurduar District Hospital to Cooch Behar Medical College.

On receiving the news of the accident, the police team of Shamukatla Road Fadi reached the spot within some time, after which the police took the injured to Alipurduar District Hospital, but the doctors declared all three dead. Also, the driver of the vehicle is seriously injured and is battling for death.
Local residents said that they woke up to the loud sound of the accident. Going outside he saw the pieces of the car and the injured youth. There was a crowd of people gathering at the incident site since morning.
Police investigation and preliminary guess
Police has started the investigation of the matter. Initial guess is that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol. According to friends of the deceased, the three youths were going towards Barobisha to have tea after having a picnic in Alipurduar on Monday night.
Information about the dead and injured
The names of the deceased are 24 year old Parthiv Ghosh, 24 year old Abhijeet Das, 23 year old Deep Das and seriously injured 23 year old Vinay Pal Chaudhary.
