West Bengal: Cold havoc in West Bengal, warning of dense fog in 10 districts of North-South, know the weather condition.

West Bengal News: The coldest day of the season has been recorded in Kolkata today. The minimum temperature of the city has reached below 11 degrees Celsius, which is about 2.8 degrees less than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, this is considered to be the coldest day of December in the last five years. Due to cold winds, people are feeling very cold in the morning and night.

Maximum temperature also much lower than normal

Not only the minimum, but the maximum temperature of Kolkata has also been recorded much below normal. The maximum temperature yesterday was about 5.8 degrees Celsius below normal. Due to cold winds and dry weather, it remains cold even during the day, due to which people are seen in warm clothes.

Along with severe cold, dense fog is also increasing the problems of the people. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog in a total of 10 districts of North Bengal and South Bengal. Visibility on the roads has reduced significantly in the morning, due to which drivers have been advised to exercise caution.

The effect of cold is clearly visible from north to south of West Bengal. Cold is being felt especially in rural areas. The Meteorological Department says that there may be slight fluctuations in the temperature for the next few days, but the cold wave will remain across the state.

On the last day of the year i.e. 31st December, cold has engulfed the entire state. Amidst the preparations to welcome the New Year, people are also seen enjoying the cold. The effect of cold and fog is also being seen in many parts of the country. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
