According to local sources, Shankari Nayak had gone in a small boat with five other people on Monday morning to the forest area of ​​Sundarban to catch crab. Shankari Nayak was suddenly attacked by a tiger while catching crab in a creek near Kalas Island on Tuesday morning. She was seriously injured in the tiger attack. The other people accompanying him somehow showed courage and raised an alarm, due to which the tiger retreated and the woman’s life was saved.
