After a huge uproar in the Parliament, the proceedings of the Lok Sabha were adjourned till 11 am on Tuesday (3 February 2026). Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi came out of the House and said that he was not being allowed to speak. He said that when the Chinese tanks were near Doklam, they are not allowing me to say what PM Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had told the Army Chief. He said, why are PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah silent on the security of the country? Don’t know what the government is afraid of.
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi claimed, ‘The government did not allow the book to be published. The former Army Chief wanted to express his views. Modi government is hiding the truth. He has also alleged that the government is not allowing him to speak in Parliament.
Rahul Gandhi’s target on PM Modi and Defense Minister
He said, ‘Army Chief MM Naravane has clearly written about PM Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in his book. I am quoting the same article, but I am not being allowed to speak. The entire Modi government is scared that if Naravane’s book comes out then the country will know the reality of Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh. What happened to the 56-inch chest when China was coming towards us?
Government is afraid of just one line: Rahul Gandhi
Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said, ‘They are scared of one line. There is a line in it which PM Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh are afraid of. I will say that line inside Parliament and no one will stop me.
He said, ‘The issue is exactly what Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said. Whether the land was taken or not is a different question, we will come to that, but before coming to that the leader of the country has to give direction. The leader of the country should not run away from decisions and should not leave them on the shoulders of other people. This is what the Prime Minister has done.
