The Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that on December 20, 2025, some people reached the residence of the Bangladesh High Commission and vandalized the barricades. This incident is inappropriate and very regrettable.

The Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh has issued an official statement regarding this matter on Sunday (December 21, 2025). The statement said, “The inappropriate incident that took place at the residence of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on Saturday (December 20, 2025) is extremely regrettable and cannot be accepted at all as a form of misleading propaganda.”
“The miscreants were allowed to conduct their activities just outside the perimeter of the High Commission, causing panic among the staff present inside the premises. No advance information was given to the High Commission about this organized event. However, we note the commitment of the Government of India to ensure the security of all diplomatic establishments of Bangladesh in India,” the statement said.

Bangladesh government arrested the suspects – Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry
Bangladesh’s Foreign Ministry said, “We completely reject the attempt by Indian authorities to portray an isolated attack on a Bangladeshi citizen, who incidentally belongs to the Hindu community, as attacks on minorities.”
The statement said, “The Government of Bangladesh has taken prompt action and arrested the suspects involved in this incident. The inter-community situation in Bangladesh is better than in many other parts of South Asia. Bangladesh believes that the governments of all countries in the region (South Asia) have the responsibility to ensure the safety of minorities in their respective countries.”

In fact, in Mymensingh district of Bangladesh, Dipu Chandra Das, a Hindu minority youth, was brutally murdered after mob lynching. There was a lot of protest after the video of this incident went viral on social media. After this, on Saturday (December 20), 20 to 25 youth gathered outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi regarding the same matter and protested and raised slogans.
