Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Samsung is once again in the headlines with its new flagship smartphones. According to reports, the company is preparing to launch Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ along with Galaxy S26 Ultra this month. These three premium smartphones will prove to be the backbone of Samsung’s lineup in 2026 and will come with the latest hardware, new software and Galaxy AI experience.
When will the Galaxy Unpacked event take place?
Samsung has not yet officially announced the date of the Galaxy Unpacked event, but information received from supply chain and retail sources is indicating that the launch will take place in late February. According to the possible invite image shared by famous tipster IceUniverse, this event can take place on Wednesday, 25 February 2026. It is believed that Galaxy Buds 4 can also be introduced along with the Galaxy S26 series in the same event. Considering the global time zone, the event is expected to start at around 10 am Pacific Time.
Launch location and focus on Galaxy AI
Although the venue of the event has not been fully confirmed yet, San Francisco is considered to be the strongest contender. The reason for this is that by staying close to Silicon Valley, Samsung can present updates related to its Galaxy AI and Generative AI more strongly.
Samsung hints at Galaxy S26 Ultra
Recently Samsung Gulf team has started a promotional campaign regarding Galaxy Unpacked. The date was not mentioned directly, but through the #GalaxyUnpacked hashtag, a question was asked to the users as to what new will the next Unpacked event bring. The special thing is that the first phase of this campaign runs till 24th February, which ends just a day before the possible launch date.
Galaxy S26 Ultra pre-order details
According to the information, the pre-order event days will not start. Instead, users will be able to sign up the next day. In some countries, pre-order and pre-sale may be introduced in different stages. Like before, this time also better trade-in offers and free subscription of some AI services are expected.
However, this time there is doubt regarding the double storage offer. Reports suggest that Samsung has completely removed the 128GB storage variant and entry-level models will also come with more storage, which may lead to prices being slightly higher than last year.
Entry will be with OneUI 8.5
The Galaxy S26 series will launch with OneUI 8.5, which will be the latest version of Android. There may be some features in this software that will be limited to only the S26 series while the rest of the updates will gradually reach the older Galaxy S and some Galaxy A models.
Sales and review timeline
According to retailers, the sale of Galaxy S26 series can start from March 11. Samsung usually launches the phone in the market two weeks after its launch and the same strategy can be adopted this time too. It is expected that the initial reviews of Galaxy S26 Ultra will start appearing about a week after the Unpacked event.
